The Possibilities Of Hi-Speed Internet

Whenever a door-to-door salesman rings the doorbell I try to look very well-tempered and act polite listening to his lies on how much i could save signing this or that contract.
Just a quarter hour ago a guy by order of T-Com Germany rang the doorbell and barely I opened the door he started telling me about how brilliant the hi-speed internet connection in our village would be in near future. I then asked him: "What do mean with 'near future'?" He then replied: "Right now! Just a few days or weeks ahead." So I told him: "Right now is now, not days or weeks ahead." He looked at me as if I had told him that I'm some strange bird flewn here from the tropical rainforest. He then said: "However - You could save a lot of money when switching your connection to our new tariffe. So I asked him: "How could I save money paying for your internet connection?" That's a litle move i always use, when someone's telling me lies. Well, that was hitting him - he started argumenting now: "You could have double or triple your internet connection speed for the same price you're paying now. And you will get the complete hardware-set for free." I tried to look interested about this offer now and he told me of the fantastic possibilities which I would use using hi-speed internet: "You will watch TV over Internet, make video-calls to people on other continents and much much more ... ". I noticed he's using the term 'will' intead of 'could' now, that's a sign of his belief I surely would sign a contract. To make it a bit more funny, I asked then: "And you think I will do all that?" He replied: "For sure, it's all possible nowadays.".
I told him: "Isn't it also possible to fly to the moon?" The smile left his face: "Yes but not for everybody." "See, I'm not everybody.", I said, "And I'm absolutely not interested in watching TV or make video calls, can you please tell me why I should do that?" His face had been frozen instantly. He replied: "What's your profession, if I dare to ask?" "I'm a self-employed service engineer for electrical high-energy solutions and uninterruptible power systems.", I replied. He said: "As an engineer you should know about the possibilities of hi-speed internet ...". I said: "Well, I do. But that doesn't mean I have to use these ... ."
He left without good-bye.

If Only

 Two Days ago I was sitting in the hotel's dining room having breakfast at eight. At a table ten feet from the one were I sat three important looking businessmen with suit and tie were sitting about opened 'news'papers discussing projects for customers A., B. and C. when one of the businessmen said with great concern: "Money doesn't matter at all".
 That was definitely the moment when I felt an urge to leave, forget about the egg, toast and coffee - that joke gave me a good laugh in the morning of a rainy day ...
Sometimes it's really a hard job to love everybody.

Quote Of The Day

"If you do not like to talk about your own faults,
if it hurts you to do so,
you certainly should feel more hurt when saying unkind, harmful things about other people.
Train yourself and each member of your family to refrain from talking about others.

Judge not, that ye be not judged.”

Nature

Nature

Tao Te Ching

Tao Te Ching
Nature is not kind;
It treats all things impartially.
The Sage is not kind,
And treats all people impartially.
Nature is like a bellows,
Empty, yet never ceasing its supply.
The more it moves, the more it yields;
So the sage draws upon experience
And cannot be exhausted.

Bliss

Bliss is like a breeze.
As long as you have your hands open, you can feel it flow.
Once you try to possess it, it moves away from you!
